Lighten Up Sounds was established in 2008 as a small private imprint to support experimental music and art. Since then, we’ve grown to release over 130 titles from artists around the world.

We proudly champion artists making challenging music, with a focus on self-empowerment, independent publication, and worldwide distribution. We specialize in physical media, working with limited editions and analog formats to support the concept of physical, tangible presence in modern music.
